It seems our entire lives are based on "if." 'If such and such a thing happens in a certain way, then happiness will be mine.'
No matter our life condition about one thing is clear: happiness is possible, only the conditions for it need to be fulfilled.
But the funny thing is anyone who makes terms and conditions in life can never attain happiness.
Only a person who realizes the truth that happiness is not possible in this world will find happiness.
A person who thinks that it is simply a question of managing certain conditions in order to find happiness, will only find newer and newer sorrows.
The very word 'if' becomes the block. A person who talks like this, who is driven to meet all these conditions have yet to have their desires and aspirations shattered. It is the shattering of the dreams, illusions and desires that reality can dawn.
This realization happened to Lord Buddha. He realized that having a kingdom was futile, that searching for happiness in this world is futile, that even seeking the beyond is futile.
Seeking is futile.
Happiness can be attained only by those free of 'if.' Whatever preconditions that lie are the very blocks to the happiness you seek.
It is when a person drops all 'ifs' and preconditions that they will realize they have the kingdom and all its joys and pleasures right here, right now.

Once we are free of the “ifs” the ego will start on the “buts”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love, Ram Prem
OH, Ram Prem!!!! o, I belly-laughed! That's so funny!
BUT..that's okay. it's okay. It is one thing to realize that nothing else but your own being can make you happy, but then deciding what is right, what is moral for us, with will benefit us, both in this world and the next (?), that is another step.
It may well be clear that we must seek ourselves, but the alternative of HOW that is to be done still remains unclear. The mind will still waver, because still the mind is split. The very word “but” shows our split mind. We are still shaky, divided. The word BUT shows we still lack self-confidence. We do not trust ourselves. There still seems to us a right and a wrong.
A man or woman of intelligence will always have this difficulty. Once you have dropped “if”….the next step is to drop 'right and wrong.'…..then…then…one can come to KNOW.
Ram Prem!!!! thank you!
Love,
Cheyenne

Hmmm. Perhaps I am miss understanding. I am happy often, and share lovely times with friends and family. I think happiness and sadness both come come in life and we are given both to guide and balance us. It is ok to feel, or we would not have been given these tools for existence on this plane. When I see my son, I am overjoyed. His smile lights me up with happiness. And that is a good thing. And the tears I have cried with him are, as well. There is a beautiful balance…and its ok.

Good Morning, Sunshine!!Thank you for the beautiful video! Stunning! Bow…!
Thank you…you speak of the happiness that is just the reward of just being. The happiness that comes from within. The happiness that comes from empty hands. The joyfulness naturally emerges. The flow from within causes us to celebrate and rejoice. It comes from a meditative life. I understand the point that you have made! Thank you.
The unhappiness I speak of is when one is trying to find happiness through chasing it, feeling at present they are less and something is lacking and they go on an insane pursuit to fill this feeling of lack with something outside of themselves, a dream they hold that will 'make' them happy. They cannot rest themselves and the pursuit always ends in disappointment. so..only one who knows that this sort of 'happiness' is not possible outside of themselves will find happiness within.
The Zen video you shared is so perfect! The frog is a frog, the tree and flowers are utterly happy..who could not see this!!! If you have not cried at seeing a flower open you have not lived!! They are utterly rejoicing! It pours from them….The whole existence is rejoicing! And we are poor, seeking what is abundant within us….
You don't have to come to anything other than what you are….what is wrong with you as you are? God made you this way! No other like you in the universe.
Thank you so much, Sunshine!!!! You made a very good point! Thank you!
with love,
Cheyenne
After we drop all
“if” and
“but”
and we are done with the battle between “right” and “wrong”
all we are left with is … what do I feel around my heart and solar plexus chakra..
back to the beginning…
even if the things we feel are strange…
and if at that point I start to make excuses… it is a mess… : )
Thank you Cheyenne!
Joanna!!!!!!!! Huge hug!!!! Reading your words made me laugh! I get it!!! yes!!!
There is no “if” you will feel strange! Well, let me speak for myself. I am strange!!! And it has been a lesson I had to hammer into my soul. We are all different. We can't even compare! That's how strange we are to each other.
It is very tricky…the ego exists by getting others to approve of it…when they don't our ego hurts and we feel maybe we are not good, something is wrong. And when people face our 'strangeness' they may reject us! And our ego judges this as bad!
It might be true (big smile)…that unless you are being strange, odd, different, unexplicable, you might be traveling another's path!
I celebrate your strangeness! And rejoice in any odd and off the wall feeling you might have! No need for excuses or explanations! Let's just go see what it is. Sometimes you are a mess and it is very beautiful to be a mess…very!, and sometimes you are immaculate and it is very beautiful when you are immaculate, very!
I understand myself how difficult it is to have another mirror my strangeness without it feeling something is wrong…but nothing is wrong in it. It's YOU…you are very strange! I am very strange! We are all very strange!
Thank YOU, Joanna!!!
I loved your post!!!
Cheyenne
I agree Cheyenne, We are ALL very strange I don't know if it is possible to understand so many strange people around us.. and it is still amazing that we can coexist together.. isn't it?
Hi Cheyenne, is so nice your blog, I'm new here and I enjoy, thank you.
There is in life a word that is beautiful to have for happiness and that is
ALSO.
When some say to you, that you are the most beautiful women or men in the
world, you accept that.
You have to accept ALSO when some say you are ugly.
When you accept that you had have the best orgasm in the world, ALSO
you need to accept when you blew it.
ALSO accept I wish I could do it better.
And when life give a situation that you can not accept ALSO.
This is and ALSO, ALSO
Shati, Shanti……big smile…..Chaitanyo
OH, I like that, Chaitanyo! Thank you!
Yes, I seek to bomb out! Blow it. I was so much meditating on this this morning. Wishing to come to the end of pride. It was never me anyway…if someone likes or dislikes your beauty, etc….it is the Tao's beauty, not mine. Whatever comes and goes, what does that really have to do with me?….really? How to come to the end of ALSO and enter ALWAYS.
…pride. Buddha said he beat it out of him, and then duality had no place in him.
Shanti, Shanti and Big Smile BACK!
Thank YOU!
Love,
Cheyenne
