Lovers fight - only lovers can fight : Lovers fight - only lovers can fight;they depend on fighting. And they know that nothing is wrong, because when they fightthey create a situation to move deeper into love.It is a rhythm. If you have been a lover, which is a rare thing, you know that just before making love,if you have been fighting and angryand trying to kill each other, and then you make love, then the orgasm has a high peaksuch as can never be attained ordinarily.Because when energies move farther away-hate means energy is moving farther away -there comes a pointwhen you have moved as far from each otheras you were before you fell in love.Just the same point has come again. You are two individuals, completely independent, all communication has dropped. You are again strangers, not knowing who the other is.This was the situation when you fell in love.If you don't escape, you will fall in love again - the whole romance, a new honeymoon. And if you cannot get the honeymoon again and again, love will become stale. It will be just a dead thing. You will have to carry it like a burden.
Lovers fight - only lovers can fight
Your Inner Being Is Like A Mirror : Your inner being is like a mirror, it is never the doer.  Don't get identified with things that are happening around you.  Identification is the root of the mind.  The moment you cut the root of the mind, the identification with it, you have transcended.Transcendence is easily possible.  Just change your Gestalt from the content to the consciousness, from the mind to the space in which the mind exists. When the mind disappears, the ego disappears.  They are part of the same game.  Then nothing remains, the mirror is pure, no reflection, no dust, no content, just the witness, the consciousness watching everything. And suddenly you start laughing!  "How ridiculous!"  You have always been rooted in the ultimate being.  The only need was to become aware of who you are. Then a door opens, you move to another plane, the plane of the invisible, the plane of the mysterious, the plane where there is no form, no name.Transcendence is not an achievement.  It is just a recognition of who you are.
Your Inner Being Is Like A Mirror
Kundalini : Kundalini is your sleeping energy.  Imagine all your energy functioning at once!  O, my, you would be a wild bee!  Since you do not require your full potential for your daily life, much of your energy is sleeping in the form of sexual energy.     For this energy to awaken, an explosion is needed. The awakening cannot happen alone.  The explosion needs the other. An explosion can never take place with one energy.  It requires two energies.  If it were possible with one, what could occur would have already occurred long ago.  The explosion needs friction.  Only then do you get a fire!   The fire is hidden in the potential energy, in the sleeping energy, but it must explode.  It is like having a match box and a match near it...they must touch, there must be friction for this energy to explode!  No matter how close the two may be, if there is no touch, no friction, there will be no explosion.     In the realm of sex, the other is required.  Even if the other is imagined, the explosion can take place. If a man or woman has a certain kind of pleasure he or she can always sit back and recall the experience and the explosion can happen.  This is why it was thought that if the explosion can happen at the sex center by imagining the other, why can't it happen at the crown by imagining god?  Therefore, the tradition of bhaki, worship, devotion, prayer.  And I personally use prayer as a source of union, a source of explosion.  But this really is not possible.  We cannot imagine what we have not experienced.  A deaf man cannot imagine sound.  This explosion at the crown cannot be our experience through imagination, because we have never experienced it.  It will not work at the crown.  We will actually have to go within and bring our energy to unite at the sahasrar.   The ultimate point of the kundalini is the sahasrar, the crown.  It is here that the divine is always waiting.  It is us who is not at the door.  Once we come to this door, that very instant, you meet the divine.  There a union will take place, and that union too is in the form of an explosion.  In this explosion you will immediately disappear - you will no longer be.  In the happening you will be no more.  You will never again be what you were behind the door, before the meeting.   In both explosion you lose yourself in a particular sense.  In sex you lose yourself for a moment - in samadhi you lose yourself forever.  In both cases you cease to exist.  In sex it is very momentary explosion, and after it you recrystallise, because where you had gone was a lower state to which you cannot revert.  But once you merge into the divine you cannot recrystallise.  You cannot again revert to the lower energy.  You have become one with the absolute.   And what is more, you cannot rest between these two boundaries - you cannot stop anywhere.  Many people find themselves in great difficulty because they want liberation, but they have become antagonistic towards sex.  They are in the worse predicament.  They find themselves in almost a hell, their inner lives in great turmoil.  To want liberation and be afraid of sex is hell.  And also to linger in the middle of these two poles is also a sort of hell.  To climb half way and stop in between is meaningless.   That is why it is said that it isn't so much that man has tension.  It is more correct to say man IS tension.  The man that exists between these two poles will be tense.  So man seeks freedom from this tension in sex, alcohol, drugs, television, anything that can make him unconscious.  And you can stay there for a little while, but you cannot stay there permanently.   And for those that awaken and weary of the climb, you might decide to fall back to the animal state, but always you repent.   All momentary pleasures bring repentance, and you are left feeling that your efforts are in vein.  And after a few days we forget again and up and down we go (laughing!)  Momentary pleasures can be attained on the animal level, but eternal joy is attained upon merging into the divine.  And this journey has to be completed by each individual.  You have to cross from one bridge to the other. And the climb itself is a sort of prepardness for the experience...preparing the individual for the capacity to bear it.  It is a great experience. But one's nervous system, one's physical fitness and one's mental capacity must become mature.  All these have their limitations, and the energy we are talking about is unlimited!  It is like an ocean falling into a drop.  So everyday, your practice, your efforts, your falls and rises are preparing you for the final moment of meeting the divine.  If you meet too soon, it would simply destroy you and all would be lost.    So with understanding, commitment and love we bring ourselves to the path and become in tune with it.  This very effort becomes our ability to absorb it.

Past Lives : This expereince we call deja vu is having experienced somgthing already without having experienced it before.  The feeling is so certain - absolutely certain - you have done this before, seen this person, this place - this is deja vu.This occurs because deep in your unconscious, you are carrying all the memories of all your past lives.  You are not living for the first time only this life.  No.  You have lived many lives, many deaths.  Thousands  of lives and deaths.  Life is far bigger than birth and death.Life begins at the point of your past life's death.  When a child is born you may think this is the beginning.  This is not true - and when a man dies, it is not the end.  Your life began far before you entered your mother's womb.  All the things that happened in lives before, all successes, frustrations, all failures, betrayals, love affairs, all experiences that were clung to, the Lord Buddha calls desire. And when you are dying, the whole of this life will run before your eyes - before the body is leaving.  The body is not going, the mind is not going with you, the brain is not going with you, but desire released from the mind will cling to the soul and decide your future life.  Whatever you collected, what you have brought with you like a seed, that seed will become a tree, bring forth fruit, flowers, and thorns.  The whole blueprint is there in the seed.Everybody can penetrate to past lives.  You simply need enough practice to be meditative enough to remain aware past a certain door, a certain unconscious gateway.  Once you penetrate that door, a flood of memories come rushing to you. The significance of this is to see the karma in our lives.  It can be a great wake up.  You can see patterns as anceint as you are.  Once you see how many love affairs you have had, how you have wanted power and money and many times even attained this wealth and prestige, for thousands and thousands of years, you begin to see the endless cycle.  You have lived every every possible experience.  And the same pattern is repeating over and over.Existence moves in a circle, not a straight line.  It is like a rotating wheel of seasons.  If one can see clearly that for many lives they have repeated the same experiences, you will come to one burning question: How to get free from the unconscious actions, unconscious imprisonment - how to awaken and break this chain of suffering over and over?  How to end the cycle of life and death?  How to become absolutely conscious?  **Over the years from my personal practice, three lives and deaths have been recalled...a small African boy drowning...a woman in France dying of lung disease..and the echoing voice of a master I met in the orient.  These events for me personally came in rushes. While sitting and entered penetrating silence, suddenly memories would flash, over and over..recall.  These memories would come for maybe two to three days and then cease coming.  It would happen spontaneously.  Then silence again. The benefit was seeing the karma!   And the silent understanding of why so many events have come to be in this life. Understanding the tree and its fruit. Deja Vu!  It seems I've done this before!
Past Lives
Tension : Tension is the disease of the soul.  The original source of all tension is the desire to become.  One is always trying to be something.  No one is at ease with themselves as they are.So the basic tension, the basic disease, is between that which you are and that which you wish to become.Spiritual healing, or shall I say..at-ease-ment, begins with releasing this tension.  Tension means a gap between what you are and what you want to be.  If the gap is great, then tension will be great.  If the gap is small, the tension will be small.  And if there is no gap at all, it means you are satisfied with what you are.Total acceptance of oneself is what is called a miracle, a total healing.  Total acceptance.  To find a person who has accepted himself totally would be a rare thing indeed. This tension that we feel is coming from the imagination.  Remember, tension is always future-oriented.  You can imagine yourself as something other than what you are.  The potential that has been imagined will create tension.  Animals are not tense because they do not have the capacity to imagine. It is because we can imagine an ideal self that we are tense.  We are desiring something other than what we are.Tension exists at seven levels, in seven bodies.  There is much that could be said of each, yet I will only speak of the main tensions of each one.The first body is the physical body.  To be non-tense in the physical body is to be at ease, rested, centered in the moment.  Most people can understand the tensions of the first body and understand disease.  Being healthy in the first body, the physical body, is really a negative experience...meaning, you cannot actively become healthy.  You release disease, you release tension and the body will adjust, and the side-effect is health.  Become present with the physical body, feeling it in the moment, the present moment and allowing yourself to be present, relaxed, non-tense, non-judgmental.  Learn to accept the body as it is and it will begin to be less tense.  The body is so innocent, always no matter what you ask it produces for you.  You wish to love, it is your instrument.  And even if you wish to injure yourself, the body never interfers.  Come to love the body.  It is so innocent.  So present for you.The second body is the Etheric body.  This body is basically concerned with dreams.  Now, of course, there is much more to it than this, but I am keeping these explainations quite basic.  And basically the etheric body is concerned with the dream of love.  The etheric body is concerned with the fulfillment of your desires.  Love, as a desire, has nothing really to do with your physical body.  It is concerned with the etheric body.  But if it is not fulfilled, then your physical body may suffer because of it.  The etheric body's need is love.  That is its food.  Releasing the tension of feeling unloved and becoming totally loving will begin to release the tensions in this body.  If you can love and be loving, irrespective of whom, then your second body can have a sense of well-bing, an at-easement.  If love comes to your state of mind, then your second body, the etheric body, becomes at ease, non-tense, relaxed. The third body is the astral body.  The tensions of this body are concerned also with desires, but not just of this life, but of all previous lives.  The tension in the third body are the accumulation of everything you've been longing for, your total longings for thousands and thousands of lives.  Desiring is tension.  Many even desire desirelessness!  This is one of the greatest desires, to be desireless.  To heal the tension in this body is just to accept your desires.  You've had them for many, many lives.  Do not fight with them.  Just accept them.  If you fight with this crowd of desires, you will lose.  Just accept them and they will begin to fall, release, and you will feel relaxation. The fourth body is the mental body.  In the mental body the desires manifest as thoughts: contradictory thoughts, a whole massive slew of thoughts, each thought asserting itself as the whole, each thought possessing you as if it were the whole.  So the tension of the fourth body is created by thought.  If you are able to simply accept these thoughts, not struggle with them, but understand they are just symptoms of desire, they will begin to fall away.  Just accept them.  Never struggle against them.  With the fourth body, awareness is health.  Simply remain aware.  The difficulty with the fourth body, the mental body, is that we are identified with our minds.  If you become totally aware of it, this awareness will open to the moment of nonidentity.  Then you are not identified with the mind, and there is a release of tension.  For this body, the fourth body, awareness is non-tension, and non-awareness is tension. The fifth body is the spiritual body.  As far as this body is concerned, ignorance of oneself is the only tension.  All the time you know you are, yet you do not know exactly what you are.  You pass through life not knowing exactly what you are.  This is the tension of the fifth body.  You cannot fulfill this body with beliefs of what you are.  The only way to relieve this tension is to come into direct contact with yourself.  You cannot know yourself by any other means, no books, teachers, information can fulfill and release this tension.  When you come to know your true identity, there is great bliss, great release of an enormous tension. Now we come to the sixth body, the cosmic body.  Up until now you were needed.  But at this point, it is spontaneous release to the sixth body.  From the fifth body, the crystalized knowing of your I AM Great I AM, there is still tension - this tension of your I AM against the Great Unlimited.  The tension of this body is to release your I AM to the Cosmic.  To lose yourself and gain the whole. To become a cosmic being you must cease to be an individual.  So at the level of the sixth body, the feeling of individuality is the only tension against an oceanic feeling. The seventh body is nirvanic.  The tension of the seventh body is between existence and non-existence.  To enter nirvana is to enter non-existence.  Now you are not an individual, you are the cosmic.  The cosmic is still a being. Existence is still there.  The seventh body is to lose even existence to non-existence.  It is not losing oneself.  It is just losing.  If one is to know totality, then he must not escape from non-existence.  If he is to know the total circle, he must become non-existential.So these are basic tensions of the seven bodies, beginning with the physical. To realize the tensions of the first body is a stepping stone to the second and so forth.  Do not think too much of the other six bodies, or else you will create more tension.  Just start with the first and suddenly the second will open to you, then third, fourth, fifth...and so on!To your most relaxed Enlightened State!

Tantric Love Will Not Be Satisfying : Tantric love will not be satisfying.  In fact, it will create in you the greatest discontent that you have ever felt, because it will make you aware of how much is possible.  It will make you aware of the tremendous moment of that orgasmic unity, of that spiritual transmutation.  But it will remain only momentary.  And I can assure you that "mind" will eventually get in the way of "love."  It will not be permanent.  Those moments that you may have felt could not be permanent.  They simply could not.  Nothing went wrong.  It was not possible.  And once those moments are gone, the higher was the peak, the lower will be the valley, and you will fall deep down in darkness. But it will make you aware of one thing, that if male and female energy can have a meeting which is nontemporal, then there will be eternal contentment. How to manage it?  How to do it? It can be done.  It cannot be done with the beloved outside.  It cannot be done without the beloved outside, remember that too, because the first glimpse comes from the beloved outside.  But it is only a glimpse, but with it comes a new vision that deep down inside yourself, there are both energies present - male and female.Every man and woman is bisexual.  No one is born from one sex, both female and male united.  Half of your chemistry is male and the other half is female.  If you were born female, then the outer manifestation is female, but the inner is male.  And vice versa.   Once you have become aware of this, then a new work starts.  Your inner woman and inner man can have a meeting, and that meeting can remain absolute.  There is no need to come back from the peak.  But the first vision comes from the outer.Hence, practicing Tantra the outer woman practices with the outer man, as part of the inner work.  Once you have become aware that you have a woman inside of you or a man inside of you, then the work takes a totally new quality, it starts moving in a new dimension.  Now the meeting has to happen inside.  You have to allow your man or woman to meet.  With the outer, the merge will be only for the moment.  And then great frustration and great misery.  The higher the moment, the deeper will be the darkness that follows it.  But the meeting can happen inwards.First learn that the peak is possible, and then feel grateful to the woman or the man who has given you the peak, feel grateful.  They have given you the first glimpse of the divine.  Then the inner work starts.  You have worked out. Now you have to work within.   Tantra has two phases, two stages: the outer, the extrovert Tantra, and the inner, the introvert Tantra.  The beginning has to be always from without, because we are there.  So we have to start from the place we are, and then move inwards. As it is right now, love is turned inside out.  Everybody is always focused outward, continually focused outward towards sexuality and love.   If you become meditative, alert, aware, you can begin to see that the other is only an opportunity.  The bliss you experience with the other is the union of your own energies, a blending.  The other is giving you an opportunity.  Remain keenly alert, open and loving - meditative.  I read once a very important sutra in Buddhism.  It read: "A bodhisattva never becomes attached.  It is the rare individual that can attain this."  I trembled upon reading this.  But also I recalled a statement by Padma, "Don't let the fact that you don't think you can do something keep you from trying."  In the doing, you will become, learn and grow.Let this sink deep in your heart that unless the within becomes more important than the without, you are living a very abnormal life.  The normal person is the one whose within is the source of everything that he or she is doing.  The without is only a means, the within is the end.The love affair that you have with a woman or a man is the means to an end. The end is having a love affair with your inner woman or inner man.  The outer has to be used as a learning situation; it is a great opportunity.I am all for love affairs!  All for them, because without them, you will never become aware of the inner.  But remember, do not get stuck in the outer.  When the inner man and woman have met and melted, and when you are no longer divided inside, you become one - integrated, crystallized - you have attained. You have attained....satisfaction!  A satisfaction that does not cease!
Tantric Love Will Not Be Satisfying
Discipline : One has to be strong to become a meditator.   One's ego must be strong!  Unless you have a strong ego, you will not be able to throw it.  Practicing with a weak ego will only lead to failure. The ego, I believe, has gotten a bad rap. The ego is not necessarily bad.  The ego must be strong.  This is something to be understood.  The ego must come to a peak, it must be strong, have integrity.  Only then can you dissolve the ego.  A weak ego cannot dissolve itself before the mystery, annihilate itself before the great mystery.  It takes a strong ego to go through the door and enter a new perception.   Nature itself can and will only give you so much. Nature comes to a point where unless you take individual responsibility, you cannot grow. It has given you life, a body, a mind, opportunity, now how you use it, is up to you.  To perfect the body, to perfect the mind, to meditate is a freedom, not a necessity.  You can learn in a certain period of time every day to strengthen meditation, to make it stronger. And this practice will strength your mind and capacity throughout the day. Once has to become disciplined.  The word discipline is very beautiful.  It comes from the root word which means learning.  When you are meditating, you are learning of yourself.  Discipline happens through sitting being watchful, aware, alert.  Discipline implies no fight. In discipline there is no condemnation, no evaluation.  One simply looks at the mind silently, watching, seeing it just as it is, 'learning' of your mind - discipline.  You are not saying what is right and what is wrong, what should be or not should be. Just pure awareness, learning.  Learning of what?  Learning of yourself, because there is nothing else.  And soon one day you learn of yourself without thought - it will happen!  The experience of just being, overflowing, no distraction and the greatest learning of all happens, learning of the deathless self.  This is discipline. One practice of discipline is to sit with your body relaxed, back straight, hands in your lap one on top of the other, your left hand under your right, eyes closed or fixed on one point, breathing slowly in and out in rhythm with the forces of life. This brings a quietness and peace to the body and makes the mind receptive to the inflow of the spiritual wisdom ever-present in the Universe.  Strength, wisdom, love, beauty and activity are all part of God and part of the essence of every human being.  These qualities are lying latent in everyone, but they have to be released.  This can be done only through the discipline of meditation. The art of discipline.  The art of learning about yourself. Practice to reach a peak is demanding!  The Mystic Gurdjieff says, "You must put forth extra-ordinary effort, or you might as well just forget it and take care of your health and have a nice life."   Discipline means learning.  Learning of your beauty.  Learning of your strength and wisdom.  Learning of love! *this is me when I was 25 years old..oh, my..almost 20 years ago when I was an athlete.

Satcitananda : ExistenceConsciousnessBlissWhen you are tremendously happy with yourself, happy as you are, blissful as you are, grateful as you are, and all your energies are dancing together, when you are an orchestra of all your energies, God is. That feeling of total unity is what God is. God is not a person somewhere, God is the experience of the three falling in such unity that the fourth arises. And the fourth is more than the sum total of the parts. The fourth is God.The Book of Wisdom

Mind : The first thing to understand about the mind is that it is constant chatter. Whether you are talking or not, it goes on chattering, a constant inner talk.  Whether awake or asleep the inner chatter is there, is an undercurrent. You may be speaking with someone, working, driving, gardening, but the inner talk continues. And this inner talk, this inner chatter is obsessed with security, longs for comforts, certainty.     If you can drop the inner chatter for even a moment you will have a glimpse of no-mind. The state of no-mind is your natural state.  The state of no-mind reflects your self.   Yet mind too is one of the most beautiful mechanisms - so complicated, so tremendously powerful.  So do not take the mind to be an enemy, because if you take the mind to be an enemy you cannot become the master, you cannot watch it. You will be prejudice against the mind. You have decided something is wrong with the mind. And if you look at the mind as an enemy, you will not look deeply into it.  You will avoid the mind.   So watch the mind with deep love, deep respect, reverence.  Nothing is wrong with the mind.  It is God's gift to you.
